July 4 From Sarah
I flew back today to see my mom again. It's just me at the hospital now, and the blog has been turned back over to me for a short while. Instead of fireworks tonight, I get to watch my mom show off some of her new movements, which she's begun since I last saw her. These are all small motions and are very likely just reflexes, but they are still nice things to see from her. Since my last visit, my dad and brother have done a great job keeping me in tune with every change and detail. Even still, I find my mom's change in appearance to be quite impressive. We can only continue to pray that her brain is healing in similar ways.
We moved into a new hospital last night, which took a bit of adjusting to - mostly for my dad and brother, who had gotten very used to the routine at Memorial Hermann hospital. We are adjusting quickly here though, and we like the new staff very much. I did fail to pre-research the closest Starbucks to our new location, and unfortunately it's not super convenient. As many of you know, that'll just be an extra adjustment for me ;-) We are expecting one more room move in the next day or so before we'll be ready to fully nest. We know that things may significantly slow done in pace from here, so we are trying to get comfortable with whatever schedule my mom has in store for us. She makes us proud every single day, and I've honestly never found her more gorgeous.
Thank you for continuing to support my family in such a variety of ways. You are all very appreciated.
